Halva

Sesame halva is popular in the Balkans, Middle East, and other areas surrounding the Mediterranean Sea.

  • 1 cup tahini or sesame seeds
  • 1 cup dried fruit and dates
  • about 10 pistacchio nuts, chopped

Grind the sesame seeds in a grinder, or use ready made tahini from a jar.

Blend the dried fruit in a food processor until it forms a paste.

Form balls of the mixture by rolling it between the palms of your hands.

Store in the fridge.
