Thinking about changing your diet?
Chrissie Hynde tells her story about why and how she became vegetarian...

I went vegetarian in the hippie sixties, in 1969 when I was 17. I’d heard the word vegetarian but I didn’t know any in Ohio where I lived. But when it occurred to me that I could live without killing animals I wondered what on earth I’d been thinking of for the last 17 years. The holocaust, Nazi Germany, that’s an image akin to factory farming. I question any parent who brings their child up thinking that this act of unnecessary violence should become a part of their life. I think it’s shameful. The importance of groups like Viva! is that they change people’s lives.
