Thinking about changing your diet?
Hayley Mills tells her story about why and how she became vegetarian...

The crunch for me came in 1981 when I watched The Animals Film (Channel 4’s first ever film about animal abuse). I was alone and it was such a shocking experience that I cried all night and I have been vegetarian ever since. As a species, we have to accept that we’re heading off down a path to destruction but if enough people recognise this, we can change it. Fortunately, Viva! has become a force to be reckoned with because it is making a difference. It’s incredible what it’s done. There’s nothing more powerful than an idea that comes along at the right time.
